Is being liked an important leadership goal?

Welcome to the Mosaic Minute.
In each video, I’ll answer one leadership question in about one minute.

Today’s question: I want to be liked by everyone that reports to me. Is this a reasonable goal?

Yes. This is a reasonable goal. However, it is not a realistic goal. Regardless of how lovely, kind and dedicated you are, it is likely that you will work with people who don’t gel with you or don’t connect with your leadership style. That is just the reality of the work force. Find out in this video what you can do to manage should this situation arise.

Is there anything you need to work on to take your leadership practice to the next level?

Do you have a burning leadership question?

Email it to me  at vanessa@mosaicpd.com and I will confidentially address it in a future Mosaic Minute episode.
